Terms of Service

Last updated July 30, 2026.

1. Payment Terms

To secure a reservation for any villa or service, a 50% upfront payment is required. The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival or experience date. Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in the cancellation of the booking without a refund.

2. Villa Cancellation & Refund Policy

All villa reservations are strictly non-refundable. Because we operate an exclusive portfolio and secure properties directly with owners in advance, we do not offer refunds, credits, or date modifications for villa bookings under any circumstances after the initial payment is made, except in the event of an official Force Majeure or severe weather warnings (such as an IDEAN Hurricane watch) as outlined in our signed Rental Agreement.

3. Yacht & Boat Charter Policy

Yacht and boat rentals are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds for overcast weather, rain, or personal schedule changes. The ONLY exception for a refund or reschedule is if the local Maritime Authority officially restricts or prohibits maritime departures on the day of your rental due to severe weather conditions.

4. Liability & Security Deposits

Clients are responsible for any damages caused to the properties or vessels. A refundable security deposit may be required upon check-in (Displayed on the villa listing if required) to guarantee against damages or incidental charges. Guests assume sole responsibility for their private property and agree to hold Villas Cartagena harmless for any injuries or accidents occurring on the premises.

5. Code of Conduct & Local Law Compliance

All guests must abide by the rules stipulated in the individual Villa Rental Agreement. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for unregistered guests, loud noise disturbances after specified hours, and illegal activities. In strict compliance with Colombian Law 1336 of 2009, we actively protect children and adolescents from commercial sexual exploitation; any violation of this law will result in immediate eviction without refund and reporting to local authorities.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, as well as the formal Rental Agreement signed prior to check-in, shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
