Casa Alexis

Nuestra experiencia fue muy buena. La casa es espectacular, muy bien cuidada, con espacios amplios, cómodos y exactamente como se muestran en las fotografías. Es un lugar ideal para disfrutar en grupo y está muy bien ubicada en Getsemaní. Quiero destacar especialmente la atención de Mayo, quien estuvo siempre pendiente de nosotros con una actitud amable y servicial. Además, su comida fue deliciosa y contribuyó a que la experiencia fuera aún mejor. Mi única observación tiene que ver con la forma en que se presenta la tarifa. En el anuncio se menciona que los huéspedes extranjeros pueden estar exentos del IVA, pero considero que la información puede prestarse para confusión. En Colombia, lo habitual es que las tarifas publicadas ya incluyan el IVA para los huéspedes nacionales, y la excepción sea precisamente la exención para extranjeros que cumplen los requisitos legales. Alexis’s home was beautiful! Walking distance to main attractions that are always open. The place was spacious and clean. You are in the middle of everything, but once you’re inside you have a sense of security and privacy. I’d definitely return on my next trip to Cartagena!

I would like to thank Alexis for allowing us to stay at his property. One of the most beautiful properties I have seen in Cartagena. My clients enjoyed every bit of the property. We were really impressed. Luz was the topping on the cake. She was amazing. She made great breakfast and was very helpful with everything else. Ironing and washing our clothes. Giving us recommendations. We will definitely be returning there. GREAT STAY!

Alexis and Valentina are my go-to when in Cartagena. They are amazingly friendly people and always willing to help with just more than the accommodation (transport, recommendations, etc.) this was the first time I stayed in La Cigale and it’s an amazing place. Spacious, modern on the inside, with nostalgic colonial touches. The rooftop is incredible with the Cartagena sun warming up the pool all day! Also Luz (the house keeper) is such a nice person and an incredible cook! Highly recommended for families and large groups!

This is a gorgeous and well designed airbnb. the staff are great and Alexis is a great host. He acted asap to fix issues. I highly reccomend staying here!

Just as advertised, everything we expected it to be. Located in the heart of everything but completely secluded with a rooftop oasis.

Ultra bien placé pour faire le centre historique a pied. A proximité immédiate des resto bars et boutiques. On a meme fait la forteresse de San Felipe a pied également en 15mn. Les chambres sont reparties sur 2 niveaux. ́L'appartement est parfaitement conforme aux photos, propre, bien aménagé, épuré, tres spacieux et lumineux. La terrasse au dernier est assez petite mais suffisante pour se detendre en musique avec une enceinte a dispo. La jolie piscine est appréciable par cette chaleur. La présence de personnel de maison notamment Maria Mayo est un réel plus pour profiter des vacances a 100%. Elle est adorable, a votre service et surtout c’est une tres bonne cuisinière. Nous avons eu la chance de gouter a quelques uns de ces plats concoctés par ses soins. Un délice ! Le seul point négatif est l insonorisation, meme si on s’y est fait, prenez vos boules quies si vous ne pouvez que dormir dans le calme ! Sinon je recommande a 100% et la communication avec Alexis est super fluide

We had an amazing stay! The house was immaculate, with great A/C and plenty of space. The pool and rooftop situation was perfect for our kids, and it had a nice shady seating area. The neighborhood was super cool with tons of art, music, restaurants, and bars. It was particularly cool to be backed up to the old city wall. The housekeeper Mayo was so professional and helpful. It was such a treat to have traditional, home cooked breakfasts and a clean house every day when we came back from exploring. Mayo also babysat for us one night, which was a huge help. The only negative is that the interior steps were a bit dangerous for the littler kids. Wet kids coming out of the pool and going to the pool-adjacent bathroom caused the steps to get slippery. There are no railings, and the steps have gaps on the sides, so we had a few falls. We still loved the house, however, and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

We loved every minute of our stay! The home is gorgeous with lots of space. There were 8 of us total~ 4 kids and 4 adults. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. The rooftop is a great place to have your morningmorning coffee. Mayo made amazing breakfast for us every day! We would communicate via Google translate (we don’t speak Spanish very fluently!) & discuss our meal options. Everything she made was delicious! You couldn’t ask for a better location! It’s right in Getsemaní down the street from the Trinidad Plaza & church. The streets are packed with restaurants and beautiful artwork. It’s all completely walkable—it’s truly a great location. We spent some days at the local beach clubs and hired a private boat for a day. However, we always enjoyed the evenings walking around Gethsemane & Centro. We even saw a cute sloth family in the park about a 10 minute walk from the place. Thank you for such an amazing experience! We can’t wait to come back!

Alexis, Valencia, and Mayo - thank you so much for a great stay! We appreciated your willingness to provide helpful information in almost an instant before and during the trip. Mayo was always there to offer us help. On the first day she helped us with the perfect breakfast menu that she cooked us each morning. We helped with the initial grocery shop, since we needed a lot for 6 ppl, and after that Mayo took care of the additional items needed for meals. Water, beer, snacks, etc. we ordered online for drop off when needed. The rooms were spacious and all felt like they were in the jungle even though we were in the city. I can’t think of anything I would want changed or added on, it was perfect! Thank you again!

Akexis and Valentina's home was a beautiful home base for our visit to Cartagena. The neighborhood is bustling with activity and great restaurants, but this house is cool, calm, and quiet inside. It felt very clean and safe throughout the trip and we would love to stay there again in the future!

We had an amazing stay in Cartagena! The house was absolutely beautiful, very well kept, and exactly as pictured. The location was perfect, close to the central part of the city, making it easy to explore while still feeling comfortable and secure. Mayo was an exceptional host and took great care of us throughout our stay. We truly felt welcomed and well supported. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

This was hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The location in Getsemaní is absolutely perfect! Right in the heart of everything, with restaurants, activities, and places to explore all within walking distance. The villa itself is stunning from top to bottom: the entrance, balcony, terrace, rooms, and bathrooms were all spotless, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed. The attention to detail was exceptional & nothing was missing. The terrace and pool were incredibly refreshing. A special mention to Mayo, who truly made the stay unforgettable. She was attentive, kind, and always making sure we had everything we needed. She prepared the most amazing breakfasts with exactly what we asked for. This stay was a dream, and I would return without hesitation:)

The location of this lovely house is perfect for exploring Getsemani and the old city of Cartagena. This was a multi-generational trip and the house was ideal for all of us: it is well designed and the rooftop pool is really nice. Luz, the housekeeper and chef, was wonderful and made us exceptionally delicious meals. We took a cooking class with a market tour at nearby Cafe Lunatico and had a fantastic meal at Celele -- both were highlights of the trip.

The AirBnB is great! It offers multiple and somewhat separate levels of living, which worked great for our group, as we traveled with multiple families. Views of the Castle were stunning, and the pool was nice to cool off in! Would def stay again!
